The Flannel Contract is a Penticton based three piece band with a high energy sound consisting of alternative rock, old school punk and surfer rock n’ roll. The band members are Chris “The Big F” Featherston on lead guitar and vocals, Kynan “The Animal” Kraft playing bass guitar and vocals, and Harley “Gnarls” Pryrozyk on the drums. Despite The Flannel Contract being a relatively new band, having only come together prior to the global pandemic in 2019, each member has over a decade of experience behind their instrument.

Once venues closed down and live music ceased when restrictions and lock downs took place, the band buckled down to develop a large repertoire of mostly original compositions. A proud accomplishment in 2021 was setting the goal to record and release a demo song for each month of the entire year. In addition to delivering all of this new material within a tight timeframe, the band published a unique chicken wing recipe with every monthly demo release as part of the Wing Wednesday project. It was a fun and creative way for former professional chef Kynan Kraft to display his culinary skills in tandem with promoting the band. With venues fully reopening to musicians, The Flannel Contract is working towards becoming a household name in Penticton and to establish themselves as an Okanagan staple band. With multiple performances under their belt already in 2022, and more to come in the year, The Flannel Contract is eager to help bring back the music scene that was once so prevalent in Penticton and the surrounding South Okanagan.
